Size Guide: Santini Short Sleeve Jerseys
All size guides on the Prendas website have been specifically prepared to help you get the right size garment. We do not use generic charts from manufacturers, we measure every garment that we sell.

For this garment, "Harry" the mannequin (which the vast majority of our product photographs are taken on) wears a size Large and he measures chest 39"/ 99cm, height 6`0"/ 183cm. It is worth noting that our sizing recommendations are based on a close fit, so if you want a bit of room, it is sometimes advisable to go up one size.

Detailed Guide:
The detailed size guide allows you to compare an existing garment that you own, measure it like we've done (taking all measurements from the outside, with the garment lying flat) and then compare the sizing.

Picture showing where you need to measure your jerseys to determine what size you will need.
Chest:  Lay the garment flat and measure between the lowest point of the arm seams.

Front:  The length at the centre, from the top of the collar to the bottom of the hem.

Back:  The length at the centre back, from the top of the collar to the bottom of the hem.

Sleeve Length:  Measure from the bottom of the collar to the end of the sleeve.

The 1989 edition was the first Tour de France I ever watched. After racing local MTB races and club time trials, the glamour of the TdF seemed like a different planet!

The general lack of coverage in those days in the UK also seemed to help with the suspense between Lemond and Fignon. With 30 minutes of coverage every day on Channel 4 as well as the weekly newspaper-style summaries produced by the 'Winning' editorial team, the stage was sent for the final time trial in Paris.

Back to the product! This replica jersey produced by Santini (who were the original team clothing supplier) is quite simply stunning with all the colours faithfully reproduced.

YouTube Clips: If you fancy re-living that time trial or watch this clip that is a stunning video montage of the 1989 coverage that is featured in Volume 2 of the Cycling Anthology.

Additionally this extract from 'We Were Young and Carefree' by Laurent Fignon, translated by William Fotheringham is an interesting read.

We must also thank a few people that helped make this happen:
Firstly Steve Homewood who is the UK agent for Bottecchia Cicli. We've contacted Steve a number of times over the past few years to get the Bottecchia logo on this jersey and he was kind enough to put us in touch with Sara Turato who works in the Marketing department of Bottecchia Cicli s.r.l who kindly arranged the final permission document.

Next up is the legend that is Mike Cotty who not only is eternally youthful looking, also worked tirelessly to get the guys at Mavic to agree to our plea to add the Mavic logo on the chest of the jersey.

Finally, we'd like to "thank" Coors light who decided to not reply to our emails, not return our calls or even bother to send us 140 characters on Twitter. That's why there's no Coors Light logo on the jersey - we did try numerous times!
