Mavic Comete 45 Ceramic Disc Wheels
£975.00 - £2,120.00£1,050.00 - £2,299.00
Your lightweight and fast rolling aero full carbon wheels handle winding and steep roads with full confidence.
- Mavic Ceramic: Low friction, absolute precision with perfect performance
- Aero Carbon Spokes: Wind tunnel tested and ultra lightweight
- The aero‑lightweight combo for pure speed and ultimate responsiveness
The Mavic COMETE 45 carbon wheelset blends advanced aerodynamics with ultra-light construction and exceptional rolling efficiency. The 45mm rim depth delivers low-drag performance with confident, precise handling and lightweight for ultimate responsiveness.
Thanks to Adaptive Layup carbon technology and aero carbon spokes, this wheelset feels lively under acceleration and efficient at speed. Years of wind tunnel development and real-world testing have led to a new generation of Aero Wide rims, optimised for 30mm tyres.
The result: a wheel that is not only faster in all wind conditions, but also lighter, more reactive, and easier to accelerate, from flat roads to steep climbs and technical descents. This 45/45 combo is the lightest and nimblest of Mavic's three Comete rim depths, a better companion if your playground has lots of steeper gradients and winding roads.
Features & Benefits
Full Carbon Reactivity you can feel
The Adaptive Layup structure combines T700, T1000 and 3K fibres for the ideal balance of stiffness and dynamic behaviour, while 21 flat carbon spokes transmit every watt without loss and absorb road vibration for improved comfort and control. Every acceleration is more direct. Every trajectory more precise.
Mavic Ceramic bearings with ultimate control
Each component is validated on in-house machines capable of 57 different tests before a second round confirms the performance of the fully assembled wheel. Every detail of the hub has been redesigned for marginal gains: 40-tooth ratchets, optimised freewheeling spring, Mavic ceramic bearings, a more aerodynamic hub shell, lighter hub bodies and Locked-In Spoke Heads to stabilise spoke tension over time.
