All of our cotton caps are made in Italy and are a "one size fits all".
In reality, they fit the vast majority of people well but those above a 60cm will struggle.
It is also worth noting that although the cap itself can be machine washed (at 30 degrees), the peaks and ribbons of some caps are more delicate than others.
Therefore in Prendas` extensive experience, the longevity of cotton caps increases with careful hand washing in cold water with mild washing detergent used. The La Vie Claire caps in particular with the original 1980's Tyvek ribbon is only suitable for a cold hand wash only.
We have written a blog article about washing a cotton cycling cap to help you avoid a disaster!
Starting out cycling in the 1980's meant that every time we visited the local bike shop (Ridge Racing on Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth) there was a poster on the wall featuring the imposing figure of Francesco Moser thundering across the cobbles during Paris-Roubaix whilst wearing this iconic Sanson team cap.
Whilst the team jersey featured both the Gelati Sanson and Campagnolo logos across the chest, however with the cap you get this wonderful tri-coloured ribbon through the centre.
