Basso took their decades of road racing expertise and applied it to something altogether more liberated. The Palta is proof that adventure can be competitive, that performance doesn't require a race number and that exploration is better with speed. Compliant enough to smooth out rough terrain, yet reactive and efficient enough to be mistaken for a road bike, it leaves even the most demanding rider wondering where the compromise is.
Handmade in Italy using an optimised carbon lay-up engineered for extreme performance, comfort and impact resistance, the Palta suits 1x or 2x road or gravel groupsets with tyre clearance up to 45mm. A taller head tube allows for fewer spacers or a flush stem fit for a lower stack, while the sloped top tube provides more seatpost for additional comfort and the fork geometry delivers precise handling and effective vibration dampening. Hidden bag mounts, up to three bottle cage positions, a stem lock system and a removable polymer downtube shield for loose gravel all add practical versatility.

*Disclaimer: Bikes are shipped to customer nearly fully built but some technical knowledge is required to complete the build before riding. We recommend taking to your local bike shop for a full check if you are not comfortable doing so yourself (checking bolts, adding pedals, saddle, fixing bars, etc). In most cases they will be shipped with an uncut steerer tube to allow position changes - but you will need to cut to size and finish build (run hydraulic brake lines, bleed brakes, etc). This is due to internal cabling. Once cut, further size adjustments can't be made. Contact us to discuss.
