This exclusive collection of cycling clothing (short sleeve jersey, bib shorts, cycling cap, socks & gloves) celebrates the wet sprint finish at the 1989 road world championships held in Chambéry won by Greg Lemond (after his epic victory in the 1989 Tour de France) with Dimitri Konyshev & Sean Kelly completing the podium.
Used across the collection is a white silhouette of the top four riders (Lemond, Konyshev, Kelly, Rooks) set against an on-trend, rich navy backdrop. A series of diamonds represent the colours of the Chambéry event's protagonists (including Thierry Claveyrolat & Laurent Fignon) and the iconic national team jerseys worn during the race.
If you'd like to learn more about the event itself, William Fotheringham recalls covering his first world championships in an exclusive blog.
