Whilst Roger De Vlaeminck is no doubt most famous for wearing the bold, iconic and unmistakable Brooklyn retro jersey, before that he was in the Flandria - Mars team for the 1969 to 1971 seasons. De Vlaeminck won his national championships as well as Het Volk, Fleche-Wallone, Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège during those three seasons.
