It's now over 30 years since Greg Lemond won the 1990 Tour de France ahead of Claudio Chiappucci - his third title after two previous victories in 1986 and 1989. LeMond credited strong team support and was assisted by his loyal teammates Boyer, Cornillet, Duclos-Lassalle, Kvalsvoll, Lemarchand, Millar, Pensec and Simon.
The Z team also took the team classification by a slender 16 seconds from the mighty ONCE.
The jersey design is a bit like the MAPEI retro jersey - it's quirky nature means people either love it or hate it! But here at Prendas, we still think there's a place for a retro jersey like this in our affections amongst the sea of homogeneous team jerseys in the modern peloton.
Santini supplied the team clothing in 1987 to 1989 having previously supplied the team in its previous incarnation with Peugeot team jerseys and bib shorts.
