The Mavic Comete 50 combines aerodynamics, low weight and rolling efficiency into a single fast package, refined through multiple iterations and wind tunnel testing in Geneva. Over a 50km course it can deliver up to 12 seconds of gain, a tangible advantage that shows up directly in your times.
Full Carbon Reactivity you can feel
The Adaptive Layup structure combines T700, T1000 and 3K fibres for the ideal balance of stiffness and dynamic behaviour, while 21 flat carbon spokes transmit every watt without loss and absorb road vibration for improved comfort and control. Every acceleration is more direct. Every trajectory more precise.
Mavic Ceramic bearings with ultimate control
Each component is validated on in-house machines capable of 57 different tests before a second round confirms the performance of the fully assembled wheel. Every detail of the hub has been redesigned for marginal gains: 40-tooth ratchets, optimised freewheeling spring, Mavic ceramic bearings, a more aerodynamic hub shell, lighter hub bodies and Locked-In Spoke Heads to stabilise spoke tension over time.

Specific Mavic Adaptive Layup
The Mavic Comete 50 rivals the best wheels in still conditions, with a carbon weave optimised for the ideal balance of stiffness, weight and vibration absorption. As soon as the wind picks up, from around 10 km/h at a 10 to 20 degree incidence, the rim profile comes into its own and saves between 5 and 10 watts. Every fibre orientation has been tuned to meet the aerodynamic and mechanical demands of road racing.
