We decided to add this Ceramiche Ariostea cycling cap to our selection of cotton cycling caps after we noticed that Lucas, played by Caleb McLaughlin, was spotted wearing one in Netflix’s 80s science fiction-horror TV show Stranger Things 3.
Well known for its 1980s references/throwbacks, someone who works in the wardrobe department must have an appreciation (like us) for obscure cycling caps, as surely a 7-Eleven cap might have been a more obvious choice?
This isn't the only cycling cap that has crossed over into popular culture through film and TV, with the black Brooklyn cap made famous by Spike Lee in She's Gotta Have It and a version of this cycling cap in White Men Can't Jump worn by Wesley Snipes.
