'What an occasion! One of the rare occasions in sport, when you get the Worlds number 1, number 2 and the current World Champion from the home country competing in such a cauldron of noise and adulation.' Pat McQuaid (Former president of the UCI) - talking about the September photograph.

'I just love this time of year, as we head towards Christmas and new year, when calendars directed at the pelotonese make themselves`s a hard concept with which to argue that having a year`s worth of john pierce photos to look at can in some way be bettered...try doing that on an ipod...' Brian Palmer (TWMP).

After the success of the 2010 and 2011 editions of our retro calendar, once again we have teamed up with John Pierce of PhotoSport International to produce a 2012 version.

We have have scoured John`s extensive archives spanning over 40 years to bring yet more iconic and extraordinary photographs to life in the 2012 edition.

Printed in the UK on quality 250gm Satimat silk paper and spiral bound, the 2012 edition was conceived around the time of Mark Cavendish`s victory at the UCI Road World Championships, hence the rainbow bands added to theme.

Twelve former world champions are honoured in black/white and full colour including; Eddy Merckx, Joop Zoetemelk, Tom Simpson, Felice Gimondi, Johan Museeuw, Paolo Bettini, Mario Cipollini, Graeme Obree, Tom Boonen, Giuseppe Saronni, Jan Raas and Mark Cavendish.

The 2011 calendar found itself on some office walls of some very influential people in the cycling community including Sean Kelly, Pat McQuaid, Rolf Aldag, Pietro Santini, Bernard Hinault and members of ASO, as well as a host of ex professional riders.
