After a number of years selling the WindTex 'Stretch' Winter Overshoes we are delighted to bring you an upgraded product made from an improved fabric along with additional new product features.
Air-Tunnel is a multi-layer material that has been specifically designed to keep out the wind, cold and rain whilst remaining lightweight, comfortable and breathable.
Air-Tunnel offers a good level of protection from the wind - comparable to WindTex and GORE's Windstopper - whilst offering better protection from the wet too. These are not sold as waterproof overshoes, however they are a big improvement and certainly keep the rain at bay whilst acting like Neoprene when wet but without the bulk!
Below shows an exploded schematic view of the Air-Tunnel fabric showing the unique air chamber that sits inside keeping your warm during sporting endeavours!

19/11, 2 hour spin in very poor weather yesterday, constant rain, at times very heavy, cold, wild,miserable...However really enjoyed it as all products purchased from prendas.co.uk did their job ..... Santini h2o bibtights kept me warm and dry, prendas waterproof hat worked a treat under my helmet, prendas thermolite socks and air tunnel winter overshoes stood up well and kept my feet warm. 24/1, The Air Tunnel gear is awesome, I have to admit that they were a bit of an impulse purchase - they look fantastic so had to have them - but I felt a little bit guilty (just a little!) as I already had what I thought was a perfectly decent pair of winter gloves and overshoes. Anyway having worn them on both a short windy ride and a colder, wind-ier sportive this weekend I can categorically state that I have forgotten all about their predecessors. There must surely be some black magic going on with that fabric as I felt no cold and I did not have the damp sweaty feel I previously had at the end of a ride. The gloves have proved that the wicking concept so often read about with baselayers is actually true as my hands were warm and dry upon taking the gloves off despite them clearly being fairly sodden with sweat and my feet were comfortable (i.e. warm and dry as opposed to just the former) throughout the ride. All that from a material that is thinner and lighter than the material used in the predecessors - for reference my old overshoes were made from neoprene (might keep you warm but at the penalty of your feet drowning in sweat) and the gloves were those ones that are apparently made from the outer layer of a semi-aquatic marine mammal. 9/1, I received my Prendas "air tunnel" shoecovers and winter thermolite socks yesterday. I had the chance to try them out today. I did the biggest ride of the season (80 miles, 6500ft of climbing) in them. I cannot thank you enough for suggesting that I buy the socks to pair up with the overshoes. It never got above 36 degrees F and my feet were just fine. No exaggeration. Best thing is the thermolite socks are not bulky like the wool ones I was wearing before. Your recommendation was spot on. If I could say it without sounding odd (I'm American) I'd say "thanks mate!" You can look forward to receiving my order for the matching air tunnel gloves shortly.
